Adventures in Medical Stop Motion: The Workshop!
Here are the results of a successful stop motion workshop I delivered to the Association of Medical Illustrators 2010 conference in Portland, Oregon. Pay particular attention to the first animation where a surgical towel comes to life after an ill fated suture accident. This was a collaboration with Dr. Max Maizels of the Childrens Memorial Hospital in Chicago. We are experimenting in creating an animation that would teach good knot tying and suture habits. Others who participated in the workshop include Medical Illustration professionals and students.
